A warm welcome to the gallop racecourse Bad Doberan. 
The gallop racecourse Bad Doberan is one of the oldest racecourses in the whole of Germany and is one of the most modern in Europe. The Doberaner Rennverein (horse-race association) was founded in the year 1822 to hold future races in the english style on solid grounds.
The racecourse had to be closed several times during its 175 year history and was completly leveled to the ground in 1962. Only in the year 1992 was a new "Doberaner Rennverein 1822 e.V (horse-race assosiation)" founded, which build on the old terrain a new racecourse. The new Bad Doberaner Galopprennbahn celebrated the 175th anniversity of the German gallop horse racing in 1997 with lots of German celebrities. center>
